Edge Lit Polymer
Edge lit polymer provides an excellent solution to underlighting shelves and giving an even backlight to displays.
Lit using a number of end-emitting tails which fire light into the panel from the side, the first 4in (100mm) or so of the panel is usually recessed or masked to hide the initial cone of light.
Three versions are available, all made from 0.4in (10mm) thick clear acrylic.
E-Lit - can be lit 29.5in (750mm) from one edge or 59in (1500mm) from opposite edges.
Prismex - with dot pattern printed on both surfaces to carry the light and give a brighter effect - can be lit 29.5in (750mm) from one edge or 70.9in (1500mm) from opposite edges.
Polylite - with printed hexagonal pattern, can be lit 35.4in (900mm) from one edge or 70.9in (1800mm) from opposite edges.
