LED Illuminators For Fiber Optic Lighting

ld5 kit title image

Why choose LED over other illuminator types and why now could be the time to upgrade.

Our modern range of LED illuminators use the latest technology to provide bright light output combined with small unit size and very cool and quiet running.
The light output from our LED range is comparable with, and in most cases, surpasses that of our older technology illuminators.
LED modules also have a much longer lifespan than their older tungsten halogen or metal halide equivalents. This reduces maintenance costs to almost nil. Power consumption is also vastly reduced in comparison to older lamp technologies making them the most environmentally friendly and sustainable option for fiber illumination.

LED Cost & Energy Savings Calculator

You can use our cost calculator below to get an idea of the running cost and energy savings between our white light LED illuminators and an older tungsten halogen illuminator with a 100W lamp and a Compact metal halide with a 150W lamp.
We are sure you'll agree that the LED unit offers significant benefits both for your pocket and more importantly for the future of the planet!
Note that RGBW LED illuminators are not shown on this table as a direct comparison between an RGBW array and a halogen or metal halide lamp would not provide accurate results. The Wattage output of an RGBW array varies depending on the color mix chosen at any one time.

Instructions

Use the 2 sliders to adjust the number of hours per day that the illuminator will be switched on for and your cost in pence per kWh of electricity.
The values in the table below will update in real time to show you the cost and emissions savings that an LED illuminator can provide.
